Hello, Daffodils!

Welcome Daffodils!

You make my heart happy!

Last weekend, the weather was so beautiful that we just couldn't stay cooped up in the house. We headed over to Young's Dairy Farm and had lots of adventures including introducing the boys to mini-golf!

We also enjoyed some unbelievably good ice cream and brought home one of Rick's favorite treats- cheese curds.
(Due to an unfortunate experience involving car sickness, I can no longer enjoy cheese curds, but I was okay with Rick bringing them home as long as he doesn't eat them near me.)

"Gilaffe" or maybe "Gilaugh"- his favorite animal
Grandma- "I remember the day you were born. We were so excited to meet you and hear the name mom and dad had picked out for you." Soren- "What name did they pick?" Grandma- "Soren Edward Smiley" Soren-"That's still my name!"
"What do you call a cow with no legs?" What? "It's a joke!" Hysterical laughter from Soren
Soren- "Mom, What's your last name?" Mom- "It's the same as your last name. What's your last name?" Soren- "Ummm… Bird?" (A reasonable guess since we do call him SorenBird all the time)
Dad- "What are you going to be when you grow up?" Soren- "Tall, like you"

"My iPhones" - the earphones for the car DVD player
"My iPad" - a pirate costume eye patch
"Happy Trees" - Christmas Trees

"happy cakes" - cupcakes (happy cakes is a much more fitting name if you ask me)
"kissies" - cookies (Love to hear him say, "Mommy! More kissies please!")
"Kickey Nouse"- Mickey Mouse
"boxies" - presents
"Harry Mama" - the statue of the Virgin Mary at church
"Harry Papa" - Grandpa
"Harry Bobby" - what he calls Harry Potter and every other little action figure in our house

"I thought I just saw the Leaning Tower of Egypt, but it was just a church. Besides, we're not in Egypt."
"Monkeying around the Christmas tree" - I guess he doesn't know much about rockin' yet
"When I grow up I want to be a fancy waiter because if someone bumps into me a fancy waiter can catch a plate on their foot."
Mom- "Tell me all about your first day of school!" Will- "Can't I just tell you about my second day of school tomorrow?"
"I have a good sense of pretzels"
Will- "Dad, why did Santa name one of his reindeer Stupid?" Dad- "Not Stupid, buddy, Cupid"

"Soren's admiring me" - in a whiney voice from the back seat at about hour 3 into the car trip to Grandma's house

Mom: "What do you have planned for today?" Will: "I think I'll make some music with this washboard"

"I came in to tell you all the good news!" - How he announces that he has used the potty

"Is burping rude and funny at the same time?" - Well, to be perfectly honest...
"Is this where babies come from?" - When we pulled into the Babies R Us parking lot. Is it time to have that talk already?
"Help me down. I'm going to break my teeth" - I guess he is listening when I tell him not to climb on things or he'll fall and break his teeth
"When I'm a doctor, I can go to work with you" - Yes you can, babe.
"Is the TV not working?" - When a recent power outage lasted several days, it took my son 48 solid hours before he realized the TV couldn't be turned on. What a proud parent moment!
"I am much faster with no pants" - Discovered as he was running in circles around the pool table
"That little boy has wheels on his shoes. That's silly" - When we saw a child wearing Wheelies. That's my boy.
"Achoo" - when he jumps into the swimming pool
"Mom, hang me on the line to dry" - The other night in the bath (we don't have a clothesline)
"The busy busy spider climbed up the water spout"
"Bee is excited (or happy or scared)" - Will calls himself 'Bee' which is short for 'Beast' and is what we lovingly called him when he was an infant
"Hair denture" - air conditioner
"Turkeypine" - porcupine
"Waterpus" - octopus
"Ickey Douse" - Mickey Mouse
"Taco-Doodle-Doo" - what a rooster says
