Will Has a Jack-o-Lantern Smile

Will has been wiggling his lower front tooth since the beginning of October.  I think he was secretly hoping it would fall out while he was at school since you get to go to the office and get a special tooth-shaped-box necklace and it is kind of a big deal.
So he wiggled and wiggled and- whew!- it finally came out... while he was waiting in line for dismissal at the end of the day.
He did get to go to the office.
And he did get a tooth-shaped-box necklace.
And it was kind of a big deal.

Pinterest convinced me that the only way to celebrate the first lost tooth was to craft a wee fairy door so the Tooth Fairy would have an easy way to slip into Will's room and collect his tooth.

We hung the door next to Will's bed.

It worked like a charm!
The next morning the tooth was gone and there was a sweet letter and a golden dollar coin in its place.  Also a trail of fairy dust along Will's pillow where the Tooth Fairy had snuck over to give Will a kiss (there was glitter in his hair for days).

It was a lovely first (only 39 more!) visit from the Tooth Fairy
